Guitar Hero Rocks Thanksgiving

As per Thanksgiving tradition
The extended family did convene
Together in one place
To laugh, to talk, to eat
-
And then for our entertainment
Moments well worth reliving
We brought out guitar hero
And it rocked our Thanksgiving
--
Brent and Brenda had a face off
Much laughter is recalled
As this brother vs. sister jammed out
To Balls To The Wall
--
Kel and Kyle were the fanatics
Striving in their competition
Bandaids were procured for overuse injuries
At night, they saw guitar hero apparitions
--
Though the highlight of the evening
Gaining our utmost respect
Was Guitar Hero Grandma Betty rockin' out
Our cheers she did collect
--
And when the evening had to end
It was thought to be a crime
And so we wait with anticipation
For Guitar Hero III at Christimas time

A Statistical Study

While finally playing Sequence for the first time in FOREVER, Stacy boasted that teams with red jerseys or shirts statistically won more games than teams with blue jerseys or shirts. It is still uncertain as to whether this was a real study or the "Stacy Mielecki Study of Whether Teams with Red or Blue Jerseys Win More". Regardless, this picture is an attempt at capturing a blue chip win, in what ended up being a tie for the night. My idea is to construct a study of whether Sequence teams with red or blue chips win more, quit our jobs, and spend our days playing Sequence to collect data.

Experiential Learning

During the Thanksgiving holiday Stacy and I were given the opportunity to exponentially increase our knowledge of expansion tanks for heating. We arrived home to find the basement floor wet and the expansion tank for residential and commercial heating to be the source of the water. Sadly, the parents were not home so we had to be resourceful. Some lessons learned:
1. The thing under the expansion tank is known as a "furnace".
2. Christopher is extremely knowledgeable and the one to call in times of distress.
3. An expansion tank for residential and commericial heating cannot be purchased at Lowes. Only expansion tanks for water heaters. There is a difference.
4. An excellent place to go to buy expansion tanks is Hajoca.
5. A pop machine is located in Hajoca.
6. Hajoca is located fairly close to The Daily Grind, an excellent place to stop if you have to go to Hajoca to buy an expansion tank for heating.
7. Daily Grind has a chai tea latte that in this chai tea maven's opinion just might be better than Starbucks.

My Sports Heros Tore It Up But We Weren't So Lucky On The Road-Three Limericks

If you travel down Chipps Hollow Road
In the center of Star City zip code
Much vigilence is needed
For this faded sign to be heeded
Where it's thwarted warning to stop is BARELY bestowed

Recognize the 7 points by 32
He secured several repounds too
Ted's playing was "WOW!"
And he and Huggins shared a smile
Some stats he did accrue

Randy tore it up with four touchdown catches
As the Patriots kicked the Buffalo Bills a--es
An offensive barrage
It is no mirage
As immense skills Randy Moss dispatches

The Huggins' Show

Allison, Sarah, and I attended the first ever public Huggins' radio show at the Regatta Bar and Grill on Monday. We were excited to hear/see the show in person and hear more from the much publicized (pictures prominent on the team poster and schedule) coach. Since his reputation awards him to be someone who would fit right in with my fantasy footballers, I have automatically become a fan. Others, however, are taking some time for their love to grow... One such person befittingly deemed him Thuggins. While waiting for our meal, we were approached by a tv news reporter doing an interview. Sarah was the only one to acquiesce. As the show began, we were disheartened that we were unable to hear. Ranked in order of able to hearness are as follows:
1. Jay Jacobs- his voice and tone were such that you could almost catch what he was saying at times.
2. Tony Caridi-this play-by-play announcer and knowledgeble conversationalist was barely audible.
3. (T)Huggins-mumble, mumble, mumble we could not hear a word he said.
As a result of this, after a nice buy one get one free dinner, we left for our radios to listen to the show in the old school manner. Reports are that the sound is to be improved upon so that fans that come in person will be able to hear. If this occurs, we may give attendance another try.

Actually...

Olive Garden Pumpkin Cheesecake, You Are The Best! Stacy deemed it golden cheesecake as we asked regarding the price of an entire cheesecake and it was 37.00, slightly under my guess of 40.00.

Carter Turns the Big 1

Carter's favorite thing of the day was playing with his balloons.
This picture displays about half of the presents that Carter received. Give your opinion on whether he has enough...

Carter was pretty exhasted by the time he got to his "spice" aka carrot cake and three scoops of ice cream. Mom also wanted to give him "chocolate".

Shorebreak

Kyle let me watch the Patriots/Colts game with him and his friends and some of Kelly's coworkers at Shorebreak. The friends appeared to have a vast disparity of cognitive abilities. Sadly, Muhammed was not in attendance. Randy and the Patriots were victorious. Peyton Manning and the Colts were out like a fat kid in dodge ball.

The Best Cups Ever!

Words cannot adequately convey the excitement of receiving these cups from Aunt Brenda. She surely is quite adept in the presenting of random presents. These beat out even the most wonderful SpongeBob cup due to their increased size, which prevents spilling while imbibing on long journeys in a vehicle. They also provide the perfect texture for a beverage as opposed to the cute, but sensory unpleasing coffee tumblers. They will surely be utilized by me on my long, scenic commute to Clarksburg. Aunt Brenda, you are the best! Your green beans have been pretty awesome as well.
