Crazy Trip To PA

The picture depicts Brian, Dan, and I at Ruff Creek General Store waiting for the tow truck. Note the red shirts we had on as well as Brian's red vehicle. There were also four other red vehicles parked around us, all of which resulted in Brian suggesting that the amount of red things around was the very definition of ironic.

A trip to Pennsylvania
The promise of guitar playing galore
To Clint’s, ever I’ve wanted to meet (his dreaminess was slightly exaggerated)
It was all that was guaranteed and more
--
Brian sang the “catchy” pretty girl song
At songwriting, he’s no tool
His friend Steph’s voice was amazing
When she sang “Beautiful”
--
We played Wagon Wheel so many times
And Rock Band until 3 in the morning
Drinking Diet Sunkist and some other stuff
Then fell asleep to the sound of Dan’s snoring
--
Wanting to leave in time for softball
An early breakfast was had
Then on the road we began our trip home
Brian still wearing his pants of plaid
--
While driving our progress was thwarted
By a lack of acceleration
And a three tone troubling sound was heard
Signaling the need for a service station
--
Sunday resulted in a lack of service
So we continued on an alternate route
Every hill we embarked upon a challenge
Our advancement each time in doubt
--
Then almost reaching Waynesburg
The Isuzu did surrender
A hill that could not be vanquished
On the side of the road we were rendered
--
A strange man picking up trash
Had an idea he would not let us ignore
To turn around midst the perilous curves
And drift to Ruff Creek General store
--
And so at the Ruff Creek store
Stacy with cheer came to pick us up
Brian turned down his special courtesy call
We waited forever for the tow truck
--
Then back at the dealership in Morgantown
Waiting for the tow truck his vehicle to procure
I gave Brian my first ever IQ test in a car
To keep us from being bored
--
After completing most of the test
Wondering about the towing service, so prime
Brian walked to the other side of the dealership
And found his car, maybe there for some time?
--
More than the adventure that was promised
Still fun and interesting without doubt
Sadly leaving our driver to deal with his misfortune
I finally said, “Peace out, little trout…”
