Visit To The Rock Forge Inn

Just a little past the town of Sabraton
Good times to be had within
A hidden treasure, a jewel of a bar
We found the Rock Forge Inn

We were lured by the karaoke
The promise of pleasant song
And ended up in this shanty like joint
Feeling like we didn’t belong

The smoke, it was quite engulfing
And the ventilation was so poor
An unborn child could develop ADHD
If a pregnant woman just walked by the door

More than a little excess poundage
Covered most of the females present
And the only other halfway decent chic there
Found dancing up on every strange guy pleasant

Grandmas and grandpas were drinking it up
The old dancing with the young
And country, country, country
Was the only music dared to be sung

And in comparison to the clientele
Myself dressed only in a hoodie and jeans
A Plain Jane could here be magically transformed
Into a belle of the ball it seemed

We chose a song to sing for karaoke
So we could bust out of there quick
We traded Eminem for Goodbye Earl
For the setting, a more appropriate pick

Then the karaoke DJ
Trying to nicely move us ahead
Placed us in front of the “Elvira” master
Whose resulting rage we began to dread

Luckily, his desire for vengeance was calmed
We sang our picked out song
Then continued an overwhelming desire to leave
Rarely has 30 minutes felt so long

But if ever you feel a need to increase self esteem
Or are looking for a place to make you grin
Just head on down to this quaint bar in town
Take a trip to the Rock Forge Inn
